I am a huge believer in making declarations. What does that mean? Well let me explain from a simple verse…
Proverbs 18:21 “The power of life and death is in the tongue, and those who love it will eat it’s fruit.”
This is a truth that could be explained in many words, but I’ll try and keep it simple. It’s not magic, it’s not weird, but it is a spiritual principal. When you say something enough, or when something is said to you enough, you tend to believe it. And so often, it’s what you believe about things that is what you will experience. It’s actually a hard reality at times, but the beautiful thing is you can change your beliefs.
The Bible also says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17). When we speak God’s Word, we are hearing the truth, which is like a seed being planted in our hearts. And when something is planted, it typically bears fruit!
Making Biblical declarations is simply a way to declare truth, push back the lies of the enemy or culture, and grow in faith! For many years, I did not believe I could do difficult things or learn new concepts. It was just a thing I somehow believed. But over the years I have declared “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!” and I know that has changed my ability to learn, grow and push through challenges!
I LOVE creating work that has declarations as a part of the art. I thought this beautiful mountain inspired canvas print would be a wonderful way to declare your little one will be a faith-walking, mountain-moving child of the King!
What declarations do you make over your family? I’d love to hear…. Jane just maybe there will be new art inspired by your declarations! 😉
